銀歯がほろり
右奥の銀歯が取れてしまいました。小学校6年生の時に治療したものだから、17年ですね。結構長く持ったほうなのかもしれません。それにしても、銀歯が取れた歯は汚いです、正直言って見たくありません。
思えば、僕はあまり虫歯に対して警戒心を持っている子供ではありませんでした。少しくらい歯を磨かなくても全然虫歯にならなかったんですね。そして、そんな無頓着な日々に青天の霹靂が…。一番奥に生えてきたばかりの下の永久歯が2本とも虫歯だと宣告されたのです。もちろん、痛みなどは全然ありません。学校の定期健診で虫歯と判定されたのです。その後、当時のやり方で、僕の2本の虫歯は治療されました。典型的な虫歯治療です。大きく削って、銀を埋める。今思えば、自然治癒したのではないかと疑っています。
でも、今となっては後の祭りです。銀歯が取れて、いかに大きく削られたか“まざまざ”と分かって、とても悔しいですが、もうどうにもなりません。再治療を受けに行くしかないのです。今度は金にでもしようか、歯科助手の妹に言わせると、金の方が長持ちするそうです。まぁ、金はイオン化傾向が低いので安定なのは容易に想像がつきます。もちろん、当然のごとく高いのでしょうが…。秘書さんがいい歯医者さんを知っていると以前に言っていたことがあったので、明日にでも聞いてみようかと思います。
